We’ve made data management a breeze in MetaStock 9.0 by providing
a self-extracting data CD, giving you the ability to organize and
analyze your stocks by sectors and industries, and introducing one-button
data downloading.
The New Data CD - Just insert the new data CD into your computer’s
CD or DVD drive and sit back as up to five years of historical data
is stored to your hard disk. With all of that data in your computer,
you can perform fast explorations and even faster system tests.
Sectors and Industries - Now you can easily group your stocks by
sector. Plus, you can test all stocks within a particular sector
to find its top performers or even set up explorations based on
sector performance.
One-Button Downloading - Yes, it’s really as simple as it
sounds! Click one button, and the securities that you follow (stocks,
mutual funds, futures, etc.) are instantly updated.
What was once a tedious process has become an exercise in efficiency.

Broad Market Indicators
It is a well-known fact that the majority of all stocks tend to follow
the broad market. The broad market indicators in MetaStock 9.0 help
you determine the direction the market is going headed and gauge overall
market conditions.
MetaStock’s broad market indicators come in two types: market
momentum indicators and monetary indicators. Market momentum indicators
are typically based on a market index or breadth. They quantify the
movement of the market and have a strong correlation with changes
in the stock market. Monetary indicators display monetary and interest
rate conditions which can affect the stock market. |

36 momentum indicators for the NASDAQ, and 36 momentum indicators

MetaStock 9.0 adds a new point and figure toolbox that gives you 4
explorations, 4 experts, 8 indicators, and 2 system tests based on
the Point and Figure charting style. The system tests generate buy
and sell signals based on chart patterns like triple tops and bottoms,
triangles, and more. The explorations search for patterns and help
you make a watch list. No other analysis package gives you the depth
of Point and Figure analysis that MetaStock does.

Support and Resistance Lines
MetaStock 9.0 helps you discover the true support and resistance
levels on your charts. Now you can draw automatic support, resistance,
and trend lines on your charts. The two types of indicators –
long term and short term – cover support, resistance, upward
trend, and downward trend. In addition, there are 4 new Expert Advisors
and explorations that are based on the new indicators.
More System Tests and Explorations
Now, for every Expert Advisor in MetaStock, there is a corresponding
system test and exploration to help round out your analysis. Existing
